Los fascistas apoyan el fascismo porque les es reforzante. Porque anticipan consecuencias positivas (internas o externas) de deshumanizar a ciertos grupos. Pueden tener la falsa creencia de que habrá más trabajo, menos enfermedades, menos delincuencia... Y no necesariamente les falta información.
Son mentes simples fácilmente influenciables por discursos directos y simples como los que lanza el fascismo. Son mentes sin ningún espíritu crítico, y este te lo da una buena educación: humanidades y ciencias. Educación que no solo se adquiere en la escuela. La lectura posterior es fundamental.

La idea de que la información cambia las creencias es una idea irracional. Lo que suele cambiar las creencias son las contingencias. Por eso ahora tenemos tantos videos de usaínos llorando porque el leopardo les ha comido la cara.

i don’t think everyone needs to like every film but the way people refuse to even take the avatar series seriously in any capacity feels so performative in a way no other series has ever been treated, very odd to me

Another year another pile of books enjoyed! Not pictured are Marnie, some Medieval history book from the library, and another pile of ones I just didn’t get anything out of.

Though I’d debate that Cameron’s movies in the 90s are quintessentially American despite Cameron being a Canadian, the Avatar movies are not. They are fundamentally White Guy In New Zealand cinema, which goes far to explain why they are like that.
