So, remember that Episcopal bishop in New Hampshire that told priests to get their wills in order because “we are entering a new era of martyrdom"?

I ran across historical precedent for that today.

It's from a radio transcript @rns.org produced about a Lutheran bishop in Denmark…

…in 1943.

So just shy of a year ago I'm at somebody's place and I see a pitcher full of clear fluid in the fridge. As a rule I always ask first before I just grab stuff from somebody's fridge, except this is the one time in my life I figure I don't need to bother asking.

Still baffled and saddened that Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song's visual style seems to have been hated by so many. I've played the original SNES version to completion and MS is far more compelling. Imagine, modern SaGa games that live up the flamboyance of their concept art...

I don’t think we appreciate exactly how many breadcrumbs Senator Wyden leaves for the public, or how often. He’s not an alarmist either, but someone with literal decades of experience with US intelligence.
This is how Sen. Ron Wyden clues the public into activity that he finds extremely alarming. He does a press release about a letter he sent to the director of the CIA that basically says, 'I want to make sure you saw the classified letter I sent early today.' www.wyden.senate.gov/imo/media/do...

The first time I had a Babybel cheese I didn't realize the outer layer was meant to be peeled off before eating and I ate the whole thing with the wax on. Didn't even realize what I'd done till I saw the little pull tabs on one a few days later. I am, I think you'll agree, very smart :3

worth noting that the second rich people stopped being afraid of mobs tearing them limb from limb, they stopped building libraries and opera houses and stuff and started ripping the copper wiring out of the walls of society instead

Was walking home late at night listening to Lust Hag, because of course I was, and the interlude came on as I was walking through the low lying fog. It struck me at the time just how flawlessly it matched the vibes around me.

The first real level of The Citadel makes such a good first impression. On first pass it's a tough level with enemies all over the rooftops sniping at you with scant cover while you deal with weaker enemies on the ground level, followed by some tough indoor fights. Pretty tough for a first level...

Idk maybe our current system of government and economics should radically change if it enabled a small group of people to do horrific sex crimes for decades and get away with it.

Not blowing a gasket, feeling vindicated, because what Kotick’s involvement in the Epstein files has done is demonstrate exactly how fucking right I’ve been for ten years.

Oh I’m absolutely fucking disgusted, but now it’s unequivocally clear as fucking day. It was always, *always* about predation.
hear that? thats @commandersterling.bsky.social blowing every single fucking gasket they got
The Epstein files reveal what powerful people see in video games: profit, coercion, and control

Dragon View (1994) | action RPG | Super Nintendo | Kotobuki System

Developed in Japan as a sequel to Infogrames' Drakkhen (ported to the SNES in 1991), It had a roaming, open world like the original but differed in many other ways such as replacing the party-based combat with solo, arcade action!
