Jim Wampler announced this morning that we lost Tim Kask, who passed in his sleep on the 30th.

Tim was the creator of The Dragon, which set the foundation for what an industry-focused magazine should be. He was an icon and one of the few early founders of TSR still with us.

Shout out to The Warren, great game - and literally just looking at this solved a problem I'm having with the game I'm working on right now
I absolutely love The Warren's playbook. From it's perfect little portrait window, to the column of basic moves, and all the potential for character moves which might get written down if your rabbit manages to survive for long enough.

Zork now has an open source license, so someone can finally fix all the cases where the game describes a thing but the parser doesn’t recognize what the player means when you use the same description right back: opensource.microsoft.com/blog/2025/11...

What do you need for a game jam? “Two tables. Done.”

Game jams—accelerated game creation events—started as a way to develop video games, but they’re also useful for creating tabletop role-playing games, which have grown in popularity in recent years.

Ok, @lumpley.bsky.social & I have been very up-front over the years on our sales data & etc, so here's a thing, & thanks Will, for bringing it up. Starting a career in #ttrpgs means making games. it means writing in a goggle doc or notebook, trying mechanics with a friend, finding 3 folks to play.
I don't really see any false vision of success — virtually anybody who talks about it is very up front, and people who ask about "starting a career in games" get told very plainly that the only way to have money while working in RPGs is to start with money.
