In honor of Larry Summers, I asked the female members of my college class (1987) to say if they had any experiences with sexual harassment by teachers/professors, back when this was tolerated as, I dunno, the cost of attending college, and OH MY GOD.

The current list of top 10 word lookups on the Merriam-Webster website captures the zeitgeist quite well, I think.

Note: #2 is the name of a lake next to Webster, MA. The full name is Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg. It has been in the top 3 for weeks, no doubt because…

One of the best pieces I’ve ever read about the pelvic floor, how to identify it in your own body, and how pelvic floor therapy can help - plus videos and advice you can use at home if you cannot access or afford pelvic floor therapy!
I wrote this piece because I only learned about pelvic floors a few years ago, despite having had one all my life. And then it turned out to be where I store all my issues. And then that turned out to be true for a lot of people www.wired.com/story/the-pe...
The Pelvic Floor Is a Problem
Everyone’s suddenly obsessed with the pelvic floor—physical therapists, MAHA influencers, me. Could this deeply misunderstood body part really be the seat of so much modern dysfunction?

Let’s not get confused about science.

Many studies have looked for a link between vaccines and autism — none has found one.

“We haven’t ruled it out” is a logic loop; by that logic we also haven’t ruled out peanut butter, bedtime stories, or blue socks.

I think it was @ericallixrogers.com who suggested that car horns should also blast into the car so drivers can think more about if it'll be worth it or not.

Presidential run when???
hi motorists. So, when you use your horn to get a cyclist's attention, you're using a device designed to make a sound loud enough to penetrate layers of metal & glass. How'd you like an air horn in your ear while you're concentrating on something that could get you hurt or killed if you flinched?

Since the pandemic started, I've always worn masks in public, and I haven't caught a single sickness in 5.5 years!

Not only that, but I haven't had anyone give me any flack about it. If you worry about how you'll be treated, just try it and find out. Might not be as hard as you think. 🖖❤️
