If you believe climate change is an existential threat, then don't support any Democratic member of Congress who advocates for:

1. Generative AI
2. Cryptocurrency mining
3. Indoor cannabis cultivation

unless they can immediately point to a detailed plan to make said activity carbon neutral.

Last week, I visited the ICE detention center in Tacoma to ensure ICE is treating detainees humanely and honoring due process.

From my visit, it was clear ICE is trying to hide the truth about its facilities.

He was up working really, really hard last night. 400 truth social posts in an hour, one every 10 seconds. That really tuckered him out. Mad King deserves a nap.
I'm not sure he's going to make it, folks. Eyes are closed

Not sustainable? The percent of the foreign-born population in the US in 2023—which is less than 1 in seven (not six)—is nearly the same as in 1900. How did we as a country ever survive?

BTW, notice in the 1900 map where the lowest % of non-immigrants lived.

This. this. this. The first strike was always gov't-sanctioned murder.
It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.

But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.

The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.

@tbrunner.bsky.social, this doesn't look so fun. Plan (soggy) travel w/ J accordingly.

This actually happened today. I pay out of pocket for Zb, and this morning's price for my refill from Lilly Direct was $449, down $50. Should be cheaper, but I'll take it.

Yesterday I was searching for videos of the Rhondda Valleys in southern Wales, one of the most prolific coal regions in Britain from 1840-1920. Most of my dad's NE PA ancestors emigrated from the region.

Coal is no longer mined in Rhondda. But the mountain tops are lousy with wind turbines.
Energy transitions can happen faster than we think:

In 2000 almost 90% of Denmark's electricity was from fossil fuels.

In 2024 less than 10% of Danish electricity was from fossil fuels.

Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Sec. 18.3.2.1 states the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders.

What’s its key example? Wait for it . . . It’s "orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

Just a reminder that the first Trump-ordered, extra-judicial murders of Venezuelans—many, if not most, just fishermen—on boats in international waters occurred three months ago, on September 1. How has it taken three months for the media, Congress, and general public to care about this?

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

I know Kevin has been out there beating this drum since the Administration enacted the illegal, murderous “policy” , but he’s one of far too few. Everyone should be demanding accountability for these heinous crimes.
Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes.

If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

While Trump's approval with all partisan groups dropped to 36%, the partisan breakout is particularly brutal among independents.

So Zepbound did not completely stave off the MS post-exertional malaise that usually follows a day of mad holiday cooking, but I'd say it reduced it by at least 50-70%. Yeah, the WL is nice, but the anti-inflammatory effects are something I never want to give up. Honestly life changing.

I'm not really a "stuff" person—unless it's cooking related. I inherited my mom's regular-sized Kitchenaid 20+ years ago, but it's just too big for my galley kitchen, even with my renovation. Then Macy's seduced me with this "mini" (and at a ridiculous price,) and now I'm smitten.

Are you still massively against me breaking into your home and stealing all your stuff so I can sell it or have you moved more towards acceptance?
Is this platform still massively against AI or has it moved more towards acceptance?

I love to cook, and I especially love holiday cooking. But this is my first holiday on a GLP1/GIP, and my lack of appetite seems to be tamping down my enthusiasm. Hard to admit it, but I think I need encouragement.

Dear Senators @wyden.senate.gov and @merkley.senate.gov, please coordinate with Oregon members of the House to draft articles of impeachment against Secretary Hegseth for threatening your colleague, @captmarkkelly.bsky.social, for his constitutionally-protected speech. Thank you.
