I think one of the reasons I love theme parks so much is that while culture accelerates to the point where very few things are relevant for more than a year or two, big theme park rides or installations can sit for a decade otherwise divorced of context and almost seem like corporate-dis-synergy

I went through a transhumanist phase when I was a teenager and that's fine, it's a great philosophy for someone who's biggest concerns involve mountain dew and Pokemon.
