Was zu selten mitgedacht wird: Ein #AfDVerbot würde auch ihren Erzählungen, Verschwörungsmythen, Emotionalisierungen und populistischen Themenbestimmungen die komplette breite Öffentlichkeit nehmen. Und damit ihren wohl besten Werkzeugen, nicht komplett radikalisierte Menschen für sich zu gewinnen.

Am 30.01. hat der Bundestag den AfD-Verbotsantrag zwar im Plenum debattiert. Er wurde aber nicht zur Abstimmung gestellt, sondern letztlich in den Innenausschuss verwiesen.

Das ist auch eine Folge von Rechtspopulismus. Es werden Bedrohungen konstruiert, die in dieser Form gar nicht existieren, und so lange in der Öffentlichkeit u. den Medien wiederholt, bis sie sich verfestigt haben und zur gefühlten Wirklichkeit werden. Siehe gewissen Inhalte der Merz-Rede gestern.

Die CDU geht den Weg des radikalisierten Konservatismus, vor dem @nataschastrobl.bsky.social schon so lange warnt. Eine Querfront mit Faschisten - so lange es gehen „Linke“ (alle, die sich ihrem hierarchisierten Gesellschaftsbild entgegenstellen) geht, ist man dort auch dazu bereit.

Die Zustimmung zur Aussage zum Führungsstil Trumps ist dabei stark abhängig von der eigenen politischen Einstellung. Mit 52 % stimmten der Aussage am häufigsten AfD-Wähler:innen zu. Die zweithöchste Zustimmung fand sich unter Anhänger:innen des BSW. (3/6)

Re-reading it after many years, this book does indeed seem more like a description of current political styles than an analysis of a peripheral phenomenon almost a hundred years ago. imo the cornerstone of #populism research.
