Hey twin cities friends!

There’s a new website for the Mn Rapid Response network, now called Monarca.

It has the hotline to call if you see 🧊 activity as well as Know Your Rights information and lists upcoming community trainings.

A great resource. Please share widely!

There’s lots to like from @brendannyhan.bsky.social here. I agree on demoralization. Also, normie Dem activism is always dominated by well-off retirees. They have more time comfort, & small aims.

Gaza protests against genocide were Gen Z’s antifascist action. (BLM too.) Where were boomers then?

Also, Gen Z is getting gassed, beaten and shot by ice & cops at ice facilities. Where are the boomers?

They prefer safe action with the most modest aims. Young people are galvanized by calls for replacing irredeemable systems. And they take risks the olds aren’t willing to take.

We need both.

Reminder: look for streaming deals on Friday.

If you play the subscribe/cancel game like I do.
This reminds me…

I do a lot of subscribe/cancel a few months of the year.

The streamers often offer good deals on Black Friday. Last year I got HBOmax for 6 months for like $50.
But cable doesn't have Netflix shows. If you're trying to duplicate cable TV, then you wouldn't get Netflix, which drops $23/month. YouTube TV also includes stuff on Paramount+, including some originals on CBS. Drop Paramount+, save another $6 to $12 a month. Which is probably cheaper than cable.

Is it infrastructure week at the Northeast library?

I thought the skyline would approve….

Those dates. The changes she saw, across her 40,741 days. RIP.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but there’s 2 more hours of daylight and it’s our warmest day for the next 6 months.

Work can wait.

I’m so relieved there was no strike.

Just thinking about the difference between how Graff handled this 2 years ago and now Supt Sayles-Adams involvement.

Picture w @marciaxthree.bsky.social struck me as notable.
