Proud Tri Valley millennial. Clinton/Obama New Democrat who’s trying to hard to bring Dems back to sanity in a world where we need it more than ever.

I come here because you can mock Elon in peace but FYI my views are center left, a proud Democrat, not that woke and proudly internationalist/Atlanticist. That was my MO to anyone who knew me on Twitter pre 2022 and heck I haven’t changed my general outlook as Trump and woke broke everyone’s brains.
As if Dems haven’t been fighting for a form of universal healthcare for decades. Medicare for All isn’t the only solution, a public option is probably fine tho what could pass both houses in the coming years is a good question
Janet Mills today: "Whether you call it Medicare for All or something else, I think it's clear the people of the United States deserve a universal health care plan. It's time."

Susan Collins today: wants to reverse a decade+ of Maine law and ban trans kids from sports and bathrooms #mepolitics

So many of us warned them at the time.
There's a reason why major social media platforms, including Twitter pre-Elon, spent time and resources on "countering foreign influence" or "coordinated inauthentic behavior."

But then Tai bi, Shellenberger, Weiss, Benz, and Jordan showed up claiming that was the "censorship industrial complex"
NEWS: I spent the past 24 hours going through major MAGA accounts on Twitter, and a bombshell development has become clear: most of the right-wing ecosphere is being fed propaganda from foreign actors.

This impacts elections. This impacts discourse. This is major. Subscribe to support my work:

Plus let’s forget 2 other things that happened in March-April that to me were the beginning of the end

1. Him getting into fights with the likes of Bessent, Duffy and Rubio plus I heard rumors he and WHCOS Susie Wiles didn’t get along well either

2. The utter embarrassment that was the Wisconsin..
I think you could write a pretty strong pamphlet arguing that the Tesla Takedown woke America the fuck up to some escalating nonsense.

And Elon's Epstein tantrum as he got bumshuffled out of the government created the rift that cracked Trump's hold on the House.
Some incredible details in this piece
*one DOGE faction was planning the future of the US government at a venture capital firm
*illegally communicating on Signal to avoid transparency laws was deeply embedded into organizational culture to be taken for granted

Twitter wasn’t real life during peak woke either and yet the likes of Anil pretended it was. You can’t call out terminal online behavior without realizing that the left had a similar problem in the late 2010s
Let’s see if one single pundit who said there was some great realignment of American sentiment with this last election, based on what they saw on the Nazi-owned platform overrun by foreign actors, offers any retractions or corrections for their gullibility.
It’s hilarious and revelatory that a bunch of giant MAGA/America First X accounts are actually based in Eastern Europe and Nigeria.

Let’s see what’s found in discovery if it does come to trial
So where is our data
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

Another Elon L. Who knows what happens from here and what assaults Trump will take towards congressionally appropriated money but Elon’s slash and burn style which exposed him for what he is at Twitter was no match for a large federal bureaucracy who was willing to sue him and his minions in court.

The likes of Andrew Wakefield can never be forgiven. The damage done to a generation of both parents and children, especially parents of children on the spectrum or ppl on it themselves, is pure evil.
The CDC just rewrote its vaccines & autism webpage, suggesting we can't definitively state vaccines don't cause autism. This exploits a philosophical trick about proving negatives while ignoring studies of millions of children with consistent findings.

On November 19, 2025, the agency altered decades of clear messaging, but the evidence hasn't changed.

And for a whole decade the left (because they hated free trade prior to 2016) has refused to say that isolating yourself from the global economy is suicidal and catastrophic.
I wonder if the United States can learn anything from the last time a major industrialized country decided to isolate itself from the rest of the world?

Almost a decade after the Brexit vote, GDP in the UK is around 6-8% lower relative to peer countries. (Source: www.nber.org/papers/w34459)

This was an open secret in DC for years. Ppl knew and many including Elon and Trump defended Matt Gaetz. The only man who refused to was to his credit Kevin McCarthy and he paid the price for standing up to a privileged twat like Gaetz.
The Epstein emails make clear how little powerful people care about victimizing girls.

There's also this NYT story on a 17 year-old girl (allegedly) victimized by Matt Gaetz. The girl turned to sex work to afford braces. She also lived in a homeless shelter.

#unpopularopinion but JVL is right
Democrats could have done better. They probably should have done better. But they exit this event in a stronger position than they entered. And also: They could have done much worse.

You think Mainers view their own governor as Schumer’s puppet? I have a bridge to sell you
Tô bring things full circle to our endless hell. Before yesterday, I would have assumed Janet Mills would win the primary in Maine. Now I think Platner will because the primary is now a referendum on Chuck Schumer and being Schumer's chosen candidate is an electoral death sentence.

The guy who said there was “a liberal case for Donald Trump” a decade ago spews yet more bullshit.
The big tent is too big
Cull the Democratic Party. Systematically chip away all the weak, corporate centrists and corrupt, gutless elected officials who refuse to fight and instead suck at the teat of the oligarchy.

Most of the figures who led during the ACA fight have left politics. Pelosi was the last of them to still be in office. I kinda feel we need to get her and Biden on the record as to what happened because who knows what stories Harry Reid took to the grave with him.
For almost four decades, Nancy Pelosi has served the American people and worked to make our country better. No one was more skilled at bringing people together and getting legislation passed – and I will always be grateful for her support of the Affordable Care Act.
November 7, 2025 at 1:19 PM
Her greatest talent was her ability to drive Republicans insane because she was so goddamn effective
#Pelosi will go down in history as one of the greatest politicians in American history and a true Statesman. Today, her reputation is tarnished by conspiracy after conspiracy, but those who understand how the US political system and legislative branch work, accept the fact that she is truly great.
WASHINGTON (AP) - Nancy Pelosi won't seek reelection, ending her storied career in the US House.

Anyone cheering this doesn’t seem to get that this is a district Trump won by 10 points. What are Dems thinking by driving out ppl who can win red districts?

A sad day. Now if only Troy Jackson would drop down from the Governor’s election
NEWS

Congressman Jared Golden says he is not running for reelection.

President Trump has won Golden’s Maine Congressional district three times.

Teen Vogue became the woke Bible over the last decade. I hate the fact that ppl are being laid off in journalism in general but I won’t miss the time when every company had some woke investment. Now if someone could invest in real investigative journalism instead
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

Republicans probably are relieved Elon’s dirty paws aren’t in Jersey and Virginia
Elon Musk endorses Cuomo for mayor of New York and makes sure to add some racism in there: “…Mumdumi or whatever his name is.”

OG $TSLAQ remembers. Wonder why it’s taken this long for a public figure to bring up the Buffalo scam?

Republicans know the environment is bad and know a redraw would backfire
Trend developing: Indiana legislators not up for mid-decade redistricting for now; Kansas legislators don't have the votes yet.

Here, a rumor that Ohio has cut a bipartisan deal.

Telling Trump “we can sort out quality of life issues ourselves without your publicity stunts thank you very much” is how it’s done. Proud of the Bay and the city and Mayor Lurie today.

My prediction since he and Trump had a FWB campaign relationship is that Elon will inevitably insult enough ppl while high and Trump ironically decides he’s had enough $TSLAQ
