Can more politicians (particularly in Australia's opposition parties) remember these facts?

Is this Andrew Tate for real?
Is he making all this up, or is he bragging about fixing a fight to benefit from bets on it? If so will he be investigated.

One has been busy trying to connect marches protesting about an act of genocide with the actions of two lone individuals and used it as an excuse for an authoritarian crackdown on protests.
The other hasn't.

I think he's using "ideologically-driven" to describe the wrong thing here...

As daughter of someone who was shot at Bondi (and survived), Victoria Teplitsky has followed a trajectory from criticising the government to appearing at far right rallies in the space of a week.
Can news orgs think a bit before giving her a platform to spout her opinions?
December 21, 2025 at 5:18 AM
Never before has there been an Australian opposition that has blamed a government for an act of terror and mass murder. Before last Sunday at Bondi, the rule for both major political parties was to place national unity ahead of any political gain.

Our hearts are shattered – and some have broken them further
There is no going back to where we were before December 14. But a social contract Australians relied on has been destroyed by the Coalition.

What is it with people owning lots of guns? Why do they need so many? There are some people pushing this average really high and I've yet to hear one of them come forward to explain why they need so many.

The whole narrative that some are trying to push - that pro-Palestine protests led to the Bondi shooting is self evidently asinine.
Some people seem more worried about climate and anti war protesters than they are about actual neo-Nazis marching in our streets.
This is about all protest and all free expression, from here on out. Our establishment knows social discontent will only grow as the climate worsens, the slaughters continue, and the rich extract harder. They're not fixing anything, and they don't want you to be able to resist.

When I saw the @punterspolitics.bsky.social podcast on "Mass Shootings & Media" show up in my feed I didn't have high hopes for how a generally banter filled politics show would tackle such a sensitive topic.
I was completely wrong - and would recommend a listen.

LUTNICK: What he's saying is if a drug was $100 and you bring it down to $13, it's down 7 times

F: Not a 600% cut

L: But it's 700% higher price before. It's down 700% now

The 'betrayal of Brexit' response to rejoining Erasmus is obviously predictable, and stupid (Brexit = leaving EU). But what's more striking is how *dated* it seems, like someone still waving a 'Thatcher out' placard.

Without reading the story, guess what the skin skin colour / nationality is, of the man who drove into a crowd in Liverpool, injuring over 130 people.

As the Bondi shooters used (according to this report) four guns (despite owning more), what exactly is achieved by limiting the number owned to five?
I get the desire to reduce the amount in circulation, but is there any evidence this would move make a difference?

A great step forward - although leaving in the first place and setting up our own alternative was a ridiculous waste of time and money - like many things connected with Boris Johnson:
