At this late stage a radical approach would be nice, although "doomed to fail over and over again" seems to be a default human setting. 🤷‍♂️🖤
COP30 overpromised, underdelivered, empowered distractions, backtracked on issues and once again gave big oil and big ag a free pass.

Unfortunately, the suspicions of climate scientists (here in Brazil and abroad) were confirmed again.

Introverts: do you ever just agree with someone to end the conversation and keep your peace because arguing feels pointless and you already know the truth, and you just want the talking to stop?

The IUCN calls the extinction crisis a mix of “hope and concern.” But hope thrives in the absence of honesty. Humanity would rather lie to itself about endless growth than face the reality of limits.

Turns out it’s not just the Amazon that goes up in flames. Even COP30 decided to get in on the action. But don’t worry, organisers heroically announced that the fire was ‘under control’ and, miraculously, no one was hurt.

Love this 🖤
Weirdos and outliers often survive where “normal” individuals can’t — especially at the edges of a species’ range. Behavioral diversity is evolutionary insurance. As populations shrink, we lose not just numbers, but the quirks that could help species survive a shifting world.

This economic system takes living organisms, strips them of their rights, turns them into products, and replaces their sovereignty with an expiration date. Humans are not exempt from this treatment.

Sure, it’ll kill people and wildlife for decades, but think of the happy shareholders, and the booming casket and funeral-home industries.

A real win for growth. 🙄

The new climate denial isn’t denial. It’s doubt dressed up as reason. “We don’t know everything” has replaced “it isn’t happening,” while ignoring what we do know: nature’s carbon sinks are collapsing, and so is our margin for error.

October is the least warmed month and reached +1.55°C during a La Niña!

The past 29 months were +1.57°C on average, 0.32°C above the same 2015-2017 period, indicating a 0.4°C/dec warming rate.

That's more than a doubling from the 1970-2010 warming rate.
Even(?) we might have underestimated this.
