Brazil has a particularly outsized pesticide problem. The country is the largest consumer of pesticides in the world, around half of which are HHPs.

These products are largely manufactured in Europe, where many of them are banned from use.

Lula pretending fossil fuels don’t exist at COP30 is a slap in the face to everyone fighting for the Amazon. You can’t host a climate summit in the rainforest and tiptoe around the industry burning it down while communities lose land, health, and lives!
