Unbelievable

Republicans outright REJECTED ten requests by Democrats to reform ICE

Among the supposedly “unreasonable” demands?

Require judicial warrants

No Masks

Keep away from schools and churches

Stop Racial Profiling

Uphold Use of Force Standards

Safe detention facilities

Body Cameras

As a doctor, I am horrified by what I saw at the Whipple detention facility in Minneapolis.

No medical protocols.

No real medical care.

No nurse on site when I visited.

No beds. No real blankets. Extremely cold temperatures. Minimal food.

These conditions are inhumane and unacceptable.

There are hundreds of people trickling into the Surprise City Council meeting. The main room has filled up, and the overflow room is filling up atm. A crowd of protesters is also outside the building. 130 people have signed up to speak (and that’s just folks who live in Surprise).

WRONG. I-205 administrative warrants are not issued by immigration judges. They’re signed by ICE officers. And EVEN IF THEY WERE issued by an immigration judge - they are executive branch employees, NOT judicial branch. JUDICIAL warrants are needed to enter a home without consent.
Q: You're a constitutional lawyer. Can you detail the 4th Amendment protections someone has if ICE approaches their home w/an administrative warrant?

MIKE JOHNSON: When ICE goes to execute a warrant, it's issued by an immigration judge, & that is a sufficient legal authority to go apprehend someone

I think Alex is exactly the person who can finally turn Florida blue. If you haven’t seen his launch video yet, do yourself a favor and watch it!
I’m Alex Vindman and I’m running for the U.S. Senate. Chaos, corruption and sky-rocketing costs are crushing ordinary people, while the billionaires and career politicians profit.

I stepped up when my country needed a soldier and now I’m stepping up again to fight for Floridians.

A lot of the people you see arguing against food assistance are actually on food assistance. They work at Walmart or a convenience store and think they are deserving, but others are not.

This is projection and the way that the 1% keep poor people pitted against poor people so they don’t look up.

I fail to see the problem here.
Mike Johnson: "Imagine a scenario where they were in charge and they didn't have the filibuster. We would have nationalized elections, they would infringe on our 2A rights, they'd pack the Supreme Court, and they'd make Puerto Rico and DC states."

Post of the day!
"I have been careful about what I eat, and right now the only thing keeping me from going hungry is SNAP," Lena Diaz of Phoenix said. "But from November 1st, that health, that lifeline will be gone, and I don't know what I'm supposed to do."

When Trump announced 4 days ago randomly that India agreed to stop buying Russia oil, I was surprised because Russia is their largest supplier, we are still in a trade war with India, and their govt has said nothing about it. Turns out he just lied and made it up. Shocker.
