Some disgraced tech idiot has stated on his vanity platform Britain is headed for a civil war. I remember the same twit banging on that the UK is too weak to rise up because we don’t have guns etc. It’s a case of Schrodingers Britain that is both capable and incapable of having a civil war.

I thought I’d put a link up to this shop as they are known for being a good place to get retro stuff from.
Shame that some entitled “influencer” tried to do a hatchet job on them when we should be supporting shops like this on the high street www.facebook.com/share/17b7cD...

Basically some swimmers use AI to find tide times and come a cropper.
What amazes me is there are plenty of resources to get tide times, they are even still printed on paper so why use chatGPT to give you a tide time? Seems absolutely insane to me as a swimmer.

This is the correct summary of the story, but blimey you have to scroll to find it, talk about burying the lede

Eye surgery was a success on my left eye (worst one) now waiting for the op in my right. As usual the NHS was amazing. I have been slowly going blind for 2 years but the last 3 months have been hell as I rapidly lost vision. I got a real insight how hard it is to be visually impaired/blind.

As I have a 3 year old this makes me sad. Parks are one of the few places you can take kids to play for free. Yes they can be noisy but no playground is 100% used so even if noise is a problem it won’t be all the time, besides it looks like residents in this case wasn’t directly next to the park.
Sometimes you think 'oh it can't really be that bad can it' and then you click on the link and it turns out it is exactly that bad www.bbc.com/news/article...
Council demolishes play area after noise complaints
Parents in a Derbyshire town say their children are 'devastated' they have lost the facility.

Been watching a lot of Jack Hargreaves recently and this interview popped up. He was wise and a lot of what he said even rings true today. I am a city boy so I like Jacks attitude that we just don’t know about the countryside because we haven’t lived there youtu.be/4e_jfU9eTSI?...

Ok hands up whoever did this with 80’s cassette based game?
Back in the 80s I used to buy ZX Spectrum games at WH Smiths, take them home, copy them, record a bit of silence on them and return them, said it wouldn't load, they always tried to load on a shop machine, which thanks to my sabotage always failed, money back. Master Criminal.
