but what we are seeing consistently is a picture of UTTER lack of care for the vulnerable, herd immunity by infection was a goal, no desire to support people to isolate financially or otherwise, no plan for shielding, ignoring the science, flip flopping and take half term and then some off

just on this - I totally get that people were working under immense pressure and felt close to breaking point.

But so were thousands of others - in the NHS, in the science community, in local government, in many businesses - and they followed the rules.

The differential impact of both Covid & and Covid measures on those in ethnic minority or more deprived communities is a real failure of the England Covid response.

Addressing inequalities something that Indie SAGE has always emphasised. eg www.independentsage.org/category/ine...

They realised mid-March that there was "essentially no shielding plan at all"

When these started turning up for those shielding to feed them for a week when they couldnt access food and medicine, we began to work out there was no real plan

3 1/2 yrs on and nothings better

This article doesn’t even mention the 10 days for half term that Johnson couldn’t be contacted as a virus exponentially increased pre lockdown

Simple question

WHY arent more standing up to policies which harm colleagues and patients?

Immunocompromised have shielded 3 1/2 yrs and now they are put at risk
People are dying due to this
Avoiding healthcare as risk is so high

What the hell will it take for more to stand up
