(1) Get set up with an attorney before you go out, if at all possible. ICE has started asking if people they arrest have an attorney and, if they say no, denying access to the lawyers doing ad hoc jail support. Get a name and phone number. Memorize both of possible, write their number on your arm

This is the hardest part to accept. I always said that 20% of Americans were as dumb as rocks, but now I see how brutish, propagandized, and truly awful so many Americans are. It hurts.
It’s notable that the president can go on TV and be a total gutter racist, and somehow this isn’t news in the slightest. Says a lot about the sickness of American society right now.
