Trumpflation is putting pressure on small businesses. Burley Design in Eugene is an Oregon gem that has helped folks explore their community by bike for nearly 50 years—I heard from folks there about how chaotic tariffs make it difficult to operate their family-owned business.

You know you're doing something good for yourself when you stop and take a photo to capture the moment. In this particular case, coming home with groceries by bike in the middle of winter.

New @ddotdc.bsky.social bike racks at Western Market! They’re already in use, and if you look at nearby racks you can see why the added capacity is helpful. Thanks DDOT!

When I say to expect me in my silver vehicle, it may well have two wheels!
We're not saying that everyone should ride a bicycle to go everywhere, but it would sure be nice to have it as a safe, viable option when an SUV isn't necessary!

My brother sent me some photos of the residential high-rise fire in Tai Po, Hong Kong. I've always admired the ingenuity and sustainability of using bamboo scaffolding on high-rise buildings, but I've never thought about the fire risk.

In the 1960s, Amsterdam’s citizens fought to reduce cars on the streets. Now, the city is almost car free and everyone rides bicycles everywhere. Let’s do the same to all other cities in the world, starting today, the World Sustainable Transport Day. Get inspired at: www.un.org/en/actnow/tr...

Hey winter cyclists: the smartest thing I've done after threatening to do it for too many years was actually write down what to wear based on temperature. This helped immensely last year, and winter is coming 🥶

Heads up to our riders — bike racks will be coming off our buses for the winter season by December 1, 2025.
If you plan to bring your bike along for your trip, please keep this date in mind. Bike racks will return in the spring when the weather warms up.

Just as well I'm not on a 1m wide cargo bike, or else I'd be forced to stop, push up onto the pavement around that ticket machine, and stick a @yplac.bsky.social @therealyplac.bsky.social sticker on the driver's side window while I was at it.

Arsehole.

Have your say on this separated bike lane in Papatoetoe 🚲

As well as changes to bus travel, AT propose protecting the existing southbound cycleway by separating it from traffic, making it safer for people on bikes.
