People who walk are easier to catch and kidnap.

Be safe. Ride a bicycle.

This is so utterly utterly depressing but absolutely correct. Education has failed us:

To all the men who are saying “it’s not all men” - the only way to prove it isn’t you is to conspicuously and loudly stand up for women.

Current evidence leans towards yes it is all men. It’s shameful.

This is mind blowingly brilliant

It’s things like this we should be spending our national energies on rather than hand wringing about immigration
Along with more than 50 other organisations, we have signed a letter to the Transport Secretary asking for the cycling and walking investment strategy to be more ambitious than it is.

Active travel should have a clear, long-term, fully deliverable national plan.

Farage is a lying corrupt grifter.
Amazing how this hasn’t been noticed until now. 🙄
So a former member of Farage's campaign team in Clacton (who was expelled from the party) says they lied about how much was spent on Farage's campaign in 2024, and submitted fraudulent election returns. This could be interesting, especially since the story has broken in the Telegraph.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

No argument.
Apparently people are once again asking who's at fault here. We can improve road safety dramatically by revoking the driver's licence of everyone who thinks it's the cyclist's fault.

I went to the SESRO glad-handing display in Abingdon last week and found it glossy, overly positive and shallow.
I asked some awkward questions and was surprised to find a person who claimed to be the project manager didn’t know how long the reserviour will be or how much it will weigh when full.
The leader of Vale of White Horse District Council has demanded government intervention over escalating reservoir costs. In a letter to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, Cllr Bethia Thomas requested a meeting & public inquiry.

Someone should show this to businesses on Oxford high st (which has zero parking) claiming that reducing car traffic will hurt “passing trade”
It’s really important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced.

Safe bike-lanes mean business.
