Climate action doesn’t need to be this grand gesture and living off the grid.

Sometimes it looks like not getting a disposable cup or walking two blocks.

Winter makes a city’s transportation priorities extra obvious:

Bikelane: nonexistent on this street

Sidewalk: covered in snow with a caregiver getting a major workout pushing a stroller through

Street: perfectly cleared for drivers

We can and should do better @minneapolismn.gov .

I got my electric scooter for Mother’s Day and loved it. My friend used my daughter’s scooter a few times.

Then she got her own.

Yesterday we scooted to yoga together.

Then we went to the pizza place & parked them right next to our outdoor table.

She loved it. People can change how they travel.

It’s ok if you drive.
It’s ok if you take a train.
It’s ok if you take a cybertruck.
It’s ok if you cycle or scoot.

But whatever you do, don’t mention politics at the Thanksgiving table.
Good luck y’all.

Public transportation is great because sometimes you see a dude wearing sweatshirt saying “Eliza’s husband”.

The origin of this story can’t be good.

Active commuting with children is often cited by parents as quality time spent interacting with their child and the environment, rather than time spent isolated in separate metal boxes.

You know what is mind boggling? It’s the fact that kids need to be 21 to have their first sip of alcohol, but at 15 they are getting their driver learner permit.

If they’re not mature enough to decide on their own drinking, maybe they’re not mature enough to operate huge machinery going at 75 mph.

“As pickups transitioned from farm/ranch workhorses to lifestyle vehicles, their design shifted accordingly: Cabs expanded to accommodate more passengers, while beds shrank. The first generation of F-150s were 36% cab & 64% bed by length. By 2021, the ratio had flipped.

The people who love/must drive should be the biggest advocates of non-motorized modes.

The more cars are taken off the road, the faster they will go. It’s not magic, just common sense.

A true flex is not finding a parking spot in 5 minutes.

It’s not having to worry about parking at all.

“Someone with a 1-hr car commute needs to earn 40% more to be as happy as someone with a short walk to work. On the other hand, if someone shifts from a long commute to a walk, their happiness increases as much as if they’d fallen in love.” #CityMakingMath

Couple weeks ago I met someone through mutual friends and he goes “you are the scooter lady.”

I’d rather be known for scooting in the rain than driving in sunshine.

Best compliment ever.

You should build bike lanes for people who are not currently biking and build housing for people who don't currently live in your neighborhood.
