My own fisheye removal filter for GoPro 8:7/4k/60fps.
Keep the framing, eat the fish, who needs stabilization anyway

What's better than a vaccine ? Two vaccines !
that moment when you check at your glasses while wearing another pair of glasses 😅
My Sram eagle transmission, the crankwheel is a XX, the cranks are XO, the cassette is a GX and the dérailleur is XO with AXS
So i forgot to say i've finished my new fisheye removal filter, it got 6k views in 4 days, not that bad, now all i need is to recover from that damn F* covid #mtb

I left my Seagull "1st of May" running for a week without manual rewinding, it lost only 1 second per day, that's a good score actually
on the other hand, slight probability of early chestnuts in the high hills
High probability of fog banks this weekend in the Grand-Parc, the giant rising sun should be there too °°3
I made myself a 60km track into the Grand-Parc
bikeeeee !!! it's cleanup daaaaayyy

New method based on physical sensor size:
- Fisheye-aware subsampling in linear YCbCr color space
- 4:3 final aspect ratio with minimal cropping
- 115° horizontal field of view
(best viewed in 4k, puke bags not included)

Got a recalcitrant tire, the Tire Booster fixed it, no Co2, no battery, no power line
I always suspected the field of view provided by GoPro was misleading, so i spent the weekend re-coding my fisheye removal filter, this time based on the sensor physical dimensions and the focal length. I still have to figure out the exact focal length and the frame widening #mtb
I'm switching back to the supergrounds, there're much lighter than the supertrails, and it took me 2y to blow one, hitting 2 stones at 40km/h, not even on the side of the tire. 1 hard for the back and 1 soft for the front
I encoded a noisy and shaky 480x720@30fps video, matching the codecs and bitrate used by bsky, using intel hardware encoding (the duration kinda match the processing time on bsky), and hosted it on my blog to give you a sample of the quality we might expect 🤞

my second feedback was well received too, i'm crossing fingers, if both of them are implemented we should notice some improvements in video quality, i think 480x720 (1:1.5 ratio) could be the sweet spot for biking shorts
i sent two feedbacks to bsky, the first one about the buffering on android, it was well received, and a second one about the upscaling, no answer atm
y'a quelques belles desentes par là, la Croix du Nivolet et le mont Granier par exemple
oui, juste avant d'approcher Chambéry
forget this, the video has been upscaled to 826x720 😅
My conclusion after the tests i ran yesterday is that bksy is favoring horizontal videos, resizing their width (eventually upscaling them) and compressing them at 3mb/s, far too low for hi-res, so maybe horizontal or squarish videos with a width of 720 wouldn't be resized and would look better #mtb
the beginning of the french Alps from the train, just before the fisrt tunnel
So for some reason the video are upscaled, i can't understand why because it's going against quality, and on the phone there's no buffering, so the first time you watch a video it looks very bad
