My latest adventure in fiber arts. Bella+Canvas DTM hoodie (my fav) which was white. I dyed it yellow first, & then wanted to add more yellow thru ice dye. I’m hoping it doesn’t end up as shouty as I fear it will. Right now it’s looking very Yeller-yellow.
There was no more ice left to dilute it.

Still thinking about how, yesterday, I saw two adult human beings get out of their fully functional, slightly fender-bendered cars in the middle of one of the busiest sections of the 5 freeway (that I travel on).

Shout out to the good people in government & public service that deal with me today. I called 911 twice today for different things, an hour apart. 1st was for a non-serious accident on the 5 freeway that involved very seriously dumb behavior. 2nd was that my had grandma fallen & broken her arm. 1/2

It’s normal to think of someone like Trump as hyper transactional, but he’s actually the opposite. He does not reciprocate—he takes, & he does not give, even at great cost to his overall interests.

But don't turn the other cheek when you feel conflicted. Confront those feelings, and try to understand that maybe it's not a good idea to put an idols feelings and work over others they have hurt. Avoid the pedastal.

If ever there is a lesson to learn about artists you find out being absolute monsters to other people, and your first reaction is to feel conflicted because you 'liked their work', I deeply suggest avoiding putting ANYONE atop a pedastal. Yes, that means your favourite artist.

Many artists are deeply traumatized & that’s part of what drew them to art. Depending on the source of trauma, unrecovered trauma makes them cruel, controlling, coercive, manipulative & abusive.
I don’t want to call them bad people, but they definitely do cruel things, often while playing victim.

I too could be tied also to ICE monitoring. My mom—no radical by any measure—has told people what hotels they are known to be staying at. Everyone is keeping their eyes on these actual lunatic thugs being unleashed onto our communities!

I’ve renamed this lil lady Jolene, since I keep having to check on where Smokey Joel is when I see her. Except for here because Smokey Joel was sleeping on the inside sofa at that time. She slept there for hours.
