Ok Hollywood really needs to take a chill pill.
F1 was great and all but did they really need to skip to F4 a month later?

@aparker.io it’s good to see a familiar name at the top of hacker news.

It’s a great take on AI with the massive amounts of observability data we make everyday.

Now how do we vibe code the instrumentation side of this?
It's The End Of Observability As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
The history of observability tools over the past decade has been about a pretty simple concept, but LLMs bring the death of that paradigm.

Someone just told me people don’t share enough podcasts here, and they are right! So chime in with what you are listening to right now.

For me it’s
Techdirt
It’s about the intersection of tech and policy. If you only listen to one check out their copyright gamejam they are always fire!

I love the rotating desktop pictures, but sometimes they do work well with vertical screens. Today I have a Gentoo Penguin making sure I'm working hard enough.

How relevant do you think the web scripting secret weapons from 1996 are?

So in L.A. there are places where the time to get from A to B is 2hr, and B to A is the same. but there is a place C where you can meet that is only 30min away from both.

I'm calling this Non-Euclidian City Geometry, and I'm wondering if there are any other cities that experience this.

Nobody seems to like DST, so instead of us jumping back and forward twice a year why don't we roll back to time being set by the biggest clock tower around?

We could make it more accurate by only following ones that have an atomic clock or two.

Wrong answers only:
CNCF: Center for Non-Euclidian Circle Farris-Wheels
EBPF: Extra Boiled Potato Fries
IstiO: A new service to tell you if it's an O
Cilium: The newest farm in fiber supplements
Liz Rice: A sorghum farmer

There are some times I wish I took a different career. Like I want to own a brewery and have a season of beers that are all French Revolution inspired.
The Marie Antoinette would be a really sweet one.
The Sun King would taste bad, only available as a taster and always served with glowing reviews

It gets worse than this. If you want to bring in snacks from Costco and share, that's probably ok, but have a bucket for people to donate to those snakes and you get in trouble.
Ask me how I know.
not trying to pick on this guy. this just reminded me that the federal government does not provide coffee to workers. to drink coffee at a federal office you generally have to pay into a "coffee club" that is managed by a staffer who volunteers to collect money and purchase a monthly coffee supply.
