Another update on far-right extremist in Canada, which reiterates how import at it is for us allies to support and protect vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Don’t back down in the face of bigotry and hate. Stand up to those who try and minimize the hate. Stand up for human rights.
It’s not just the United States. If you’ve followed my reporting, you already know: Canada also has a far-right extremist problem.

Now, they’re using Charlie Kirk’s assassination as a moment to mobilize, recruit and further radicalize their followers:

Follow-up from @rachelgilmore.bsky.social on more right-wing extremism in Canada.

See linked thread below & linked article from @keepcanadastrong.bsky.social called “Othman John Mekhloufi: The Man Behind The Charlie Kirk Kill List”👇
OthmanOnX, who I know hangs out in Twitter Spaces with “Canadian Nationalists” with ties to Diagolon, was the first I saw sharing the link to charliesmurderers on Twitter.

I’ve suspected he was behind it since day one.

Some really interesting investigative journalism about Canadian grocery prices and inflation.

It’s not very shocking that the grocers ignored the flaccid actions taken by our government when they literally have been price gouging us for years (like their bread price-fixing scam).
Ottawa considered monetary penalties and “binding legislation” to lower grocery prices. They even considered making “egregious behaviours that harm the food supply chain” illegal. Our reporter Maeve Ellis tells you about the documents she and Zak Vescera found.

When oil and gas companies are unable, or unwilling, to pay rent they owe to landowners where they have wells, the Alberta government pays it for them.

Am I being unreasonable to suggest that a company that can't pay for the cleanup of it's oil wells SHOULD go bankrupt rather than transferring those costs to the public?

I literally watched this video last night and now today there was the crash of Air India 171 killing over 200 people, which was a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. There needs to be an *impartial* and serious investigation into this crash.

It’s a great video and I recommend everyone to watch it.

And the Albertan Government with the separatists are betting this on the bigotry and ignorance most Albertans to ignore all this. We cannot do this. Wake up Albertans, you are being fooled. If you have eyes and ears, you know indigenous people are not treated fairly, let alone equally here.
You know who have much more legitimate grievances than far-right Alberta settlers? Indigenous nations. But no one seems to take their demands for sovereignty half as seriously.

This is the point. The UCP *want* to destroy it so they can say things like “see see wait times!” I even met an American once who was convinced our healthcare is garbage compared to theirs.

But it’s all fun and games until you lose your insurance. And then what? Pay out of pocket? No thanks.
Instead of flying to Florida for a far-right mutual admiration fest, or publicly speculating about Alberta "independence", perhaps our chaos tornado of a premier should, you know, do her f**cking job and protect the healthcare system, rather than destroy it.
