Lately, I’ve been really interested in the work done by @policyalternatives.ca aka Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. I also listened to a podcast by @vibrantcalgary.bsky.social with @davidmaccdn.bsky.social (from the CCPA) on the huge pay ratio between regular workers and CEOs in Canada.

“In line for staffing cuts are generally equity-leading departments, whereas the protected departments are generally equity laggards”

- 59% will fall on women
- 5.5% will affect Indigenous workers
- 26% of the workers cut will likely be racialized
- 8.3% will fall on workers with disabilities
