Republicans aren't going to be able to avoid accountability for the massive health premium increases that are coming. Some people in Connecticut are getting a $25,000 increase. What Republicans have done is immoral - it's going to get people killed.

If you’d just serve the people instead of the donor class, you wouldn’t need the donor class. A million $20 donors beats one $10M donor every time.
Schumer & Gillibrand facing mutiny from Dems over their outdated “corporate-friendly” playbook, refusal to back Zohran, etc.

Long overdue. @schumer.senate.gov

Russia's bombardment of Ukrainian cities is relentless as Vladimir Putin tries to plunge civilians into a winter of cold and darkness. cbsn.ws/48BMIST
Scene after Russian strike on Ukrainian bus was all "mud, dust, blood, crying and bodies," prosecutor says
Ukrainians live in fear of Russian attacks. In one of the war's deadliest attacks, a missile destroyed a city bus in Sumy traveling between a university, the mall and the airport.

You probably didn't notice when Trump posted this on Election Night. Tomorrow I write for Democracy Docket about how this was a cue for the GOP to take off the gloves in the war on voting and how one state is already escalating its attacks on democracy.

While the White House has restored access to Associated Press photographers, it continues to exclude AP reporters from the presidential press pool.
Trump Welcomes A.P.’s Photographers. Its Reporters? Not So Much.
The White House now has conflicting approaches for Associated Press journalists as it fights the news service in court over access to presidential events.

„Quiet, Piggy!“ Just think about that for a minute, and what it means to live in a time when a President can assault a woman in public like that without any consequences.
It‘s quite a testimony to the age of regression we live in.

My law firm is currently litigating 61 voting and election cases, including 12 redistricting cases. We have four cases in one stage or another before the Supreme Court.

These cases — and others like them —
will play a pivotal role in whether we have free and fair elections in 2026 and 2028.

Trump is now amplifying posts calling Members of Congress “traitors,” “communists,” and “domestic terrorists.” His amplification of “get all those traitorous sons of bitches” is an escalation that increases the real-world risk to the people he is targeting. This is how political violence is primed.

Trump is “fundamentally a humanitarian,” Vance gaslights, referring to the man who’s murdering people in the Caribbean Sea and egging on lawless, abusive federal agents terrorizing communities and kidnapping people to go further.
JD Vance: "He's fundamentally a humanitarian, and we've got 8 peace deals at this point. We're working on number 9 and number 10. And I think if he gets number 10, purely for mathematical harmony the Nobel Prize should be awarded to Donald J Trump."

What is seditious behavior? "Conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch." What an irony that Trump thinks this should be punished with death, since that's exactly what he was found guilty of for "incitement of insurrection" in his second impeachment.

On the one hand, Trump is a con man.

On the other hand, Trump is a mark.
Russia is not winning its war in Ukraine

But Steve Witkoff has agreed to treat them as a victor

It’s a long Russian con to make America complicit — and it makes America weak, and corrupt
The “peace plan” for Ukraine is just a framework for Russia & the US to take assets away from Ukrainian recovery, and to ensure Russia evades accountability for war crimes

Europe can, and must, craft better with Ukraine

Don't underestimate Marjorie Taylor Greene or sleep on her, folks.

She is going further to the left on calling out Israel's genocide, America First (non interventionism), and the economy than the Democratic Establishment.

She's still the same white Christian nationalist but she's making her move.

It’s absolutely crazy that the White House decided back in February that it gets to choose who makes up the press pool each day and everybody just decided to go along with that.

This country is such a fucking joke.
White House has picked very pro-Trump pool reporters for Trump's Oval Office meeting with Mamdani on Friday: TV is Fox and Newsmax; Print is Washington Times and The Telegraph; New Media is Megyn Kelly. Exception is Radio: AURN (whose Black, female correspondent Trump called obnoxious in September)

Santa Fe is now the first city to tie the minimum wage to the cost of rent.

The Santa Fe City Council voted to raise its minimum wage from $15/hr to $17.50 by 2027 — but they also added another provision.

Future increases will factor in inflation, and the price of housing.
