One of my brothers tried to add everyone he could find with our relatively unusual last name. He has kept in touch with one of them all these years. They met up when they were in the same city.
The peak of Facebook was in like 2011 when you could join a private group called “people named Matt Ward” and one of the Matts would periodically comment “what’s up Matt Ward” and get like 30 “what’s up Matt Wards” in reply. that was the top.

The "cats and electronics" issue in my house is that Teddy figured out how to eject a DVD when I'm watching. I usually watch the first few minutes of a movie 3-4 times.
Charlie has figured out how to make the printer print test pages and now it’s all he wants to do.

EVERY SINGLE TIME, the random person should have been more measured and calm, and it's just fine that the officer was freaked out and impulsive. Which one is ON THE JOB, being paid, and ostensibly trained??? It's so confusing.

My resolution is to tackle some of the minor house projects that have been piling up. First up: hanging art! My collection of Steve Keene paintings, and some little cat art.

My mom taught first grade for 30+ years and often gives loud toys. Her attitude is "you think one kid with a loud toy is annoying? try a classroom full of six-year-olds." I suppose I can find it funny because I don't have kids myself. 😜

This just reminded me of a moment the other day. I was in the car with my dad. As we turned onto his street, an SUV was stopped ~15 feet back from the stop sign. I said, "What's he doing? Is he just parked there?" Dad said... "he's waiting for his kid's bus."
This is obviously a, ah, provocative take on the subject, but it indeed an enormous societal problem that children have stopped walking or biking to school. There are plenty of individually rational reasons parents might drive their kids to school, but, in a wider context, no good reasons.

Worked in the music industry in Boston for 10+ years. Moved back to Pittsburgh and couldn't find a music job so I tried a few others that weren't quite right, until... "The library is the best place in the city. Maybe I could work there?" I could! I do!
