JFC. Only black governor in US uninvited from dinner for governor group in which he serves as Vice President.
I’m ready to work with the administration anywhere we can to deliver results.

I promised the people of my state I will work with anybody, but will bow down to nobody — and I guess the President doesn’t like that.

This is a big scoop and further details the scope of the far-right insurgency within the US. The “Chairman for life,” setup itself is an overt challenge to the constitution. Troy’s reporting detailing the use of the USPTO to house the legal framework of a supranational org is critically important.
🚨SCOOP: Trump's Board of Peace trademarks are being held by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, an apparently unprecedented use of executive branch power to protect the interests of a murkily defined supranational organization.

Closing the Kennedy Center isn’t funny. Now the National Symphony needs a new place to perform, and what of all the people who work there? The guy who runs the lights and the lady that collects the tix, what of them?

it's quite some distance from my actual home (whose designated body of water is a sea), but the Columbia is the one for my state for sure
My favorite Twitter prompt was "RT this with your home river," so reskeet this with your home river.

"Misrepresentations" and "bad faith." That’s how a federal judge once again described the conduct of Trump Admin lawyers in Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s case. They need to stop lying to the judge & the public and protect his due process rights. That is what this has always been about.

Free Kilmer!
For months, the Trump Administration has sought to deny Kilmar Ábrego Garcia his rights to due process and fair treatment by our justice system.

Today’s ruling by Judge Xinis – requiring the government to immediately release him – is a forceful stand for our Constitution and all of our rights.

My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

They are beating people who maybe once had a broken taillight and sending them to foreign slave prisons while freeing the worst fraudsters and every corrupt pol. The juxtaposition is so stark and appalling.
NEW: The commutation Trump issued to David Gentile wipes away all further fines & restitution.

Gentile had been sentenced to 7 years for his role in a $1.6B scheme that defrauded thousands of investors.

Prosecutors had been seeking $15.5M in forfeiture.
