Seattle and Portland area folks:

These two sweeties need a new foster home by December 12th. One boy, one girl, both fixed. They’ll come with food, toys, and litter (also a cat playpen if you want it).

Would really appreciate any shares to cast a wider net.
After buying two tickets to two shows on the correct dates I bought a ticket for a third show…the week before I’ll be in town. The ADHD tax is real.

“Yolo,” she whispered quietly as she dumped all of the remaining butter into the mashed potatoes.

“What was that?” her husband inquires.

“Don’t worry about it,” she says with a sly smile.

That’s baby Carlton!!!
The float pairings in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade - usually accompanied by a pre-recorded musical number - were so, so random. Here's all of your favorite United Media comic strip characters from 1983... and Alfonso Ribeiro, about to make his Broadway debut…

Oh this is so good.
Time once again to rep my favorite place for giving: anelder.org - they supply food, firewood and supplies for traditional crafting to Navajo Elders. If you have the cash, please give these folks a hand.

These guys are great! I donate every year and may I suggest that some of the crafts they sell on behalf of the elders make great Christmas presents?

Tell me why this dog is at full attention when I’m putting the eggs into the pan to boil?
Left the hard boiled eggs on the coffee table while I cut up the potatoes in the other room.

I forgot I have a dog.

It’s remarkable how clearly socioeconomic status contributed to who folks in Seattle wanted to be mayor.
Per-precinct final data are now available for King County, Washington's general election. In the race for Seattle mayor, Katie Wilson defeated incumbent Bruce Harrell by just under 2,000 votes.

I’m as certain as I can be that he views this as suffering for the purpose god has given him – it’s a display of his faithfulness. He’ll keep going until he drops. Hopefully that’ll be sooner rather than later.

Spotted at my local grocery store. On one hand it’s one item only at this specific time of year. On the other doing what you can matters.

Also appreciate how clearly they tie what the community gives to them and what they give to the community. They know we’re interdependent.

In our typing game you we were a ghost haunting a house. The faster and more accurate you were the more poltergeist action happened in the house. If you were fast enough the owners moved out. It was great.

My mom had us test once a week and gave us a dollar for each WPM faster we got. Also great.

“Technically you just need to check this box,” says the pharmacist while preparing the vaccine. “But you need to check this box also they won’t try to deny coverage. It saves us a lot of headaches.”

Amazing, America. No notes, great system we’ve got here.

Please boost this folks!
Hubby @kundalinisteve.bsky.social and I have collected donations to a charity fund for those in need at the holidays.

Reach out if you need a little extra money via PayPal to get by.
It's not enough for rent or a car payment, but it's enough for groceries and smaller gaps.

The line of cars for the food bank in my small suburb is a 1/2 mile long. I spotted a whole lot of disabled placards along the way.

We deserve so much more than what this failed state offers.

Woke up at 4am. Had to be productive starting at 8:30. Bought the wrong detergent at the grocery store.

And now this sweet Trader Joe’s employee tells me there probably won’t be Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s this year.

Seattle next mainstage show is Come from Away. They’re marketing it as a feel-good musical.

Has anyone on their team actually watched the show???

Good info to have, especially for business owners and employees.
IANAL but this guy is and he has an excellent explainer up on how to behave if an undocumented person flees immigration enforcement into your home or business.

Thread but also just don't tell Paypal anything. No "what is this for" you both know what it's for. If you send a friend some money for dinner or something and you say "for friday night", even odds they get banned as a sex worker.
PayPal has rolled out a new "feature" that prompts you to leave feedback about an artist that you've commissioned via invoice.

Whatever you do, DO NOT fill this out! To quote Admiral Ackbar, "IT'S A TRAP!!!" It is meant to misguide you.

Fantasies are fun. Living in fantasies lead to a whole lot of weirdness and harm.

Not participating in the government systems that currently exist feels morally superior and is also entirely counterproductive to affecting change because of the ways the systems in power operate.
