A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

This small man (in all of the ways) needs to feel big so he commits a battery on a woman who is merely taping him with her cellphone.

Dear news media,
Why not spend a few minutes today explaining how the process of going to war is supposed to work in a constitutional democracy? Because it ain't this.

If Joe Biden had an MRI a month ago and we had no idea why it was done or on what body part and he claimed he had no idea about either of those things it would literally be all you heard about in the press but Trump just gets a huge pass b/c reporters treat him differently.

A Washington Post analysis found President Trump and his appointees allegedly defied court orders in a third of over 160 lawsuits with substantive rulings, which experts say pose an unprecedented threat to the U.S. legal system.

A comprehensive analysis of lawsuits against Trump policies shows dozens of examples of defiance, delay and dishonesty, a serious test for the court system.

What is a nation supposed to do when its leader is publicly committing impeachable offenses on a daily basis and the impeachment process is utterly broken due to slightly more than half of the nation's Congress being members of a cult dedicated to destroying rule of law

One of grants frozen at Cornell: $6.7M (4 yrs) to develop heart pumps for babies born w/ heart defects.

It took decades of work to get to point of prepping device for in-human clinical trials. No private company could do this.

The cruelty of the Trump administration is heartbreaking. So to speak.

After receiving a stop-work order from the federal government, the future of a device to help children with heart defects is uncertain.

If you were looking to combat transnational crime, especially drug cartels, this is the exact office you would NOT shut down. This move by Trump's DOJ undermines any argument they want to prosecute international cartels, human traffickers, and gang members such as MS-13.

New in PN: Maine fought the law, and Maine won

"After weeks of public fulminating, the administration quietly folded and quit trying to steal kids’ lunch money for the grievous sin of letting a couple of trans girls play sports. It’s a reminder that Trump, like any bully, can be fought and beaten."

The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 created the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. I reread it today; nothing in the law allows a president to defund PBS and NPR. In fact, Congress specifically sought to insulate public media from political pressure.

This isn't hypothetical.

The coming days are bringing higher prices and disrupted supply chains, this time not because of a pandemic or a war, but self-inflicted by our country's government under this president.

Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not.

An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.
