Rhetoric didn’t kill Renee Good or Alex Pretti. An unaccountable federal police force did.

3,000 – 700 = still too many

ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA
Trump 'border czar' Tom Homan says 700 immigration officers will be withdrawn from Minnesota immediately.

Roughly 3,000 officers are currently deployed in the state.

so crazy to me that a woman asked trump if he has any words for epstein's victims and he said "you as a young woman should smile more." it will go nowhere bc republicans refuse to hold trump accountable, but it's still pretty crazy.

I've been covering Trump's retribution campaign since he came back to the White House. Then, that storyline came directly to my state - and what I've covered will stick in my brain forever. The children, the brutality, the isolation, the camaraderie and bravery. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Alex Pretti wasn't killed by rhetoric, he was killed by two masked CBP agents shooting him 10 times in the back after they had disarmed and pepper sprayed him.

Rhetoric didn't kill Renee Good either, a thug from ICE did that with a gun as she tried to avoid hurting him.

Alabama has the worst maternal mortality in the United States at 60 deaths per 100K live births. For reference, California has 18 deaths per 100K live births.

But Dr. Oz thinks it’s “cool” that American citizens do not have access to good reproductive healthcare in the wealthiest nation in history.
Dr Oz: "Alabama has no OBGYNs in many of their counties, so they're doing something pretty cool. They're actually having robots do ultrasounds on these pregnant moms."

This behavior is below the dignity of the presidency, or the dignity of any self-respecting person in society frankly.

Republicans back a president they would never tell their own children to behave like.

TRUMP: You are so bad. You are the worst report. No wonder CNN has no ratings. She's a young woman. I don't think I've ever seen you smile. They should be ashamed of you.

Apparently morale at DOJ is so low that line attorneys are asking to be held in contempt so they can get some sleep yikes

ICE detained multiple kids (all under the age of 10!) in the last week alone. Still kidnapping people based solely on the way they look. Still arresting parents at school pick up.

Nothing has changed in Minnesota. Nice words from the Admin won’t change that. ICE leaving will.

I am awe of her bravery to give this testimony. May these elected leaders act in a way that makes them worthy of her courage.
Remember her name: Aliya Rahman

Her testimony is everything and it deserves to be heard, by everyone. Decide for yourself.

It’s powerful. It’s gut-wrenching. And no one should have to survive what she did.

ICE MUST GO‼️

Folks, please retweet this. Trump, Noem, and the rest are lying everywhere about what ICE is doing in MN. We have to do everything we can to make sure the country has a clear picture of what is going on.
happening this morning in Minneapolis -- ICE agents drawing guns on observers. I reiterate again that it is only a matter of time before DHS kills more innocent people in Minnesota. Congress needs to shut this shit down right now.

Earlier today, all 4 of Minnesota's Republican Congressional delegation authored and introduced a bill that would require the state of MN to turn over voter rolls to the DOJ, a key demand made by Trump and Bondi. Shameful. bringmethenews.com/minnesota-ne...
Minnesota Republicans propose to withhold federal funding unless state hands over voter rolls to Trump
The legislation introduced by Rep. Pete Stauber would withhold federal election funding from Minnesota until the state shares voter data with the DOJ.

Noem needs to go.
Miller needs to go.

But firing or impeaching any of these people will not unilaterally change what’s happening in Minnesota. That’s why Congress needs to exert some muscle over DHS/ICE funding.

This class of men, including Epstein, were naturally drawn to far right populism as a way to fight growing calls for accountability.

They supported and inflated the far right wherever they could, and Epstein was part of it.

The number of detainees getting put on ICE flights at MSP has been relatively low the last few days.

I believe this is not on account of ICE pulling back - they still outnumber local police in many towns - but on account of vulnerable people staying home, observer pressure, and lawyer organization.

“Criminality is so rampant inside CBP that it has seen one of its own agents or officers arrested every 24 to 36 hours since 2005.”
I testified Friday on the history of CBP and ICE's corruption and training problems. It's so much worse than you think.

The population of CBP officers/agents arrested THEMSELVES since 2005 would be America's 4th largest police dept—larger than the Philly PD. www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/accountabi...

However bad you think the corruption and misconduct at ICE and CBP is — the reality is far far worse.

Adding to this news: four more children from Liam’s Columbia Heights school district are believed to be still in TX in ICE custody. This includes two elementary students from Liam’s school as well as another high school and elementary student from his district, according to CH district leaders.
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.
