Library cryptid disguised as a Director. historian, textile artist, craft dabbler.

Go read a book - you really need to do so. Read a lot of books - learn something outside of your confirmation bias.

The crows demand it. And go outside.
Sympathies. My hands are like that too.

My kitchen table currently has 5 finished crocheted items on it, one that still needs legs, some miniatures I'm working on, some craft paint, a box of saety eyes, a tin of thread, patterns. That's just the kitchen table.

There's a whole room full other end of the house. 😁

Oh, we won't even start on the books.

When we moved here, we sold over 1000 paperbacks, as well as got rid of a lot of furniture and things. The house would have held them, the moving van would not.

A librarian without overstacked shelves in their own house - are they really a librarian?😉

Someday I will show you my WIPS crates.
November 26, 2025 at 2:53 AM
I do.

Mine show the same.

My biggest issue? I'm very random in how I do things like cleaning.

/3 about Coyotes.

She probably nests up in a tree at night.

Who knows how long she's been out here, or where she came from - no neighbor claims her. I think she's probably about 6-8 months old.

/2 Since a freeze is coming, I will do a very early run to town to get a bale of straw and put it in common hang out places for the hens, so she can burrow in and get warm if needed.

Hopefully, she'll start deciding to go into the coop.

But she looks young and very healthy, so I'm only worried

I can it too - last year, I did do the broth and turkey soup for a patron who was starting chemo. We made her a lot of protein dense foods, all canned in pint jars, so it would be easy for her or someone to just heat up.

(She is cancer free now!)

No one here likes turkey broth, so I don't make it. Learned long ago not to stock foods no one will eat.

So the chickens get a win. And then the crows and turkey vultures.

Next morning, it's rare to find a bone left.

This is NOT the Colorado I remember.

Though it IS the Colorado of the 1800s.

That damn paper - I wrote it during the day, like - 5-8 hours a day, and then DREAMED I was writing it at night. For 6 weeks.

And this, your honor, is why I never became an author.

Start early? What? What does this mean?

Keep it short? What does this mean?

I'll take Things I Never Did in College for $200.

With one exception - we had to use this software as part of our research on one dissertation, and college computer labs. Early 1990s. Enough said.

I feed the roasted turkey carcass to the chickens - once we've cleaned it off.

Having raised turkeys, I have NEVER wasted beef on them. Nor smoothies.

And that one boy was the best tasting 30 lb turkey (cleaned) we have ever had.

(The other two were pets.)

Good question.

I was taught it must be introduction, and then the rest. All through K-12.

I self taught your method and I can't say how I did it. I guess I came up with the idea, then started writing, and then went back after my train derailed and wrote the intro.

Almost is.

Surprise chicken did not get in the coop this evening; luckily the night will be warmish, and I hope she comes back tomorrow and decides this is her new home.

(I checked with neighbors, no one is missing any.)

They are. I like them.
November 24, 2025 at 3:54 PM
She was already hanging with the flock - here with Wyatt, and then out back with Dorian the rooster, so we'll see if she comes in with them at bedtime and coops up.

We just kept the whole computer - lol.

Once upon a time, in 2002- my husband had a computer graveyard, starting with a Vic 20.
