What the Reform MP said was appalling. The Tories’ refusal to condemn her is arguably worse

Absolutely ga ga. He has no idea what's going on in London.

He just knows the mayor here is Muslim and it clearly terrifies his racist propaganda-riddled mind.

The Great Misconception👇🏼

When ppl post criticism of a newly elected Reform County Council there’s at least 1 reply

“Well you voted for them”

A sweeping assumption as here in Kent where they’re busy banning Pride & Ukraine flags, non existent LTNs etc

There’s a lot of us who didn’t vote Reform🤷🏼‍♂️1
Reform councils pledge to scrap LTNs – despite there being none in their areas
All 10 council areas controlled by rightwing party tell the Guardian they have no low-traffic neighbourhoods

Important corrective to the narrative that Britain is locking up more people than ever for social media posts:

“The number of people eventually punished in court for digital free speech infractions has actually fallen by more than 40 per cent in a decade.” www.thetimes.com/comment/colu...
Are social media posts investigated more than physical crimes?
Lucy Connolly case has led to suggestions that Britain’s attitude to free speech is heavy-handed

The PVV became the biggest party, with 37 seats, or 24.6% of the vote. But, if the Netherlands would have had FPTP, he would have won a super majority (looks like at least 75% visually) in the Dutch HoC, and been able to do whatever he wanted.

This is what FPTP can do. Be scared.

Someone (eg a journalist not blacklisted by him) should really push Ben Houchen on whether his invitation to bring Donald Trump to Teesside still stands.

He told Laura Kuenssberg he was happy to welcome anyone who brings investment to Teesside. I wonder if there's a line that's been crossed.

Does he still think Donald Trump should come to Teesside?
