Reading in the HSJ this morning that “Streeting accuses trusts and ICBs of seeking to cut deficits too sharply” is probably the closest I’ve come an apoplectic stroke in my life.

I was listening to @thebulwark.com's Next Level podcast today and they were thinking through the chance that Trump actually tries to seize Greenland and there was a @jvl.bsky.social sort of 'I kinda hope he does it to drop the mask entirely' and I just cannot scream loudly enough: No, You Do Not. 1/

Outside of the usual monikers of Fascist or Nazi, which term do you think best describes Trump and the Trump Administration.

My personal favourite for Trump is the Tangerine Twat or Mango Mussolini, but I can’t see those making it into policy briefings.

"The snow stills the air, and amplifies one's feet." (me)

First (real) snow of the season here in Denmark, not seen snow as good as this in quite a few years. The doggo (not pictured) also enjoyed it with quite a bit of dashing through the snow.

Rob’s theme for today’s #BirdOfTheDay is #GoodLight and bird capture. As always I need to use my archives (really need a longer lens) but at least some people get to see these old pictures. 😊 Here's a swan from 2015 with the 40D and cheap 75-300 lens.

Oh, almost missed out on today's #BirdOfTheDay theme which is #BirdButts.

#BirdOfTheDay is all #AboutTheKids any bird chicks or juveniles, and the Alternative is #Gulls.

Here's some ducklings and cootlings for you. (Some more oldies from 2005 with the 300D + EF 75-300).

The idea of “imported” violence against women and girls is a deeply comforting fiction - one that allows people to avoid looking at where it actually happens: within our homes and behind closed doors.
The Violence Isn’t Imported. It’s Domestic.
Kemi Badenoch’s attempt to blame violence against women on migrants doesn’t just collapse under scrutiny - it actively distracts us from where the harm really happens, and who is actually responsible.

Today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme is #NaturesPantry birds interacting with berries, seeds, or flowers.

I think we can say this little sparrow is ... interacting with the summer lilac's flowers?

We waited for nearly an hour. Just as we were losing hope, we spotted a dark spot in the bushes.

Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #ScratchersAndPruners (any bird Scratching or Pruning itself), and the Alternative is #Drinkers (any bird taking a Drink). #Photography #Birds

Here's an Egyptian Goose from 2004 with the 300D; a Swan from 2015 with the 40D. Both with the first EF 75-300 lens.

Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Coots&Moorhens, and the Alternative is #Pigeons.

Coots I have! Here are some coots from the canal that was next to our office at the time. One I have shared before, but now a re-edit done.

Moorhens are *my* nemesis, never been able to capture these.
