I’ve pre-ordered the audiobook! This thread made my blood boil on Tom’s behalf. I will buy every former Unbound author’s books I see promoted, as and when I can afford them & at times it’ll be most helpful for their releases. Everyone who can afford to should do the same!
I worked harder on this book than any before it. My ex-publisher then failed to pay me what they owed me for it & did their best to ruin its chances of survival. That robbed me of a year of my life & ruined my health.

After all that, to see reviews like this one brings me close to tears too.
Bloody hell! It’s been a long time since a book has brought me to tears. @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social Thank you so very much for writing Everything Will Swallow You. Book of the year. #BookSky #TheStorygraph

‘Consent’ is also quite meaningless in these situations. I’d have consented to anything which meant they weren’t turning the lights on every hour to check on me. I also didn’t really care because I didn’t think I had a future. Now, I’d be appalled if there was footage of me on camera like this. /1
NHS caught using invasive surveillance tech on mental health wards - without patient's consent

Growing numbers of NHS trusts are using Oxevision, which enforces blanket, 24-hour surveillance on mental health patients.
