Texas Star aka Devils Cigar, very very rare mushroom. Rains pulled them open after 13 days of waiting. Such a fun find. It will hiss at you when it spore releases. 🍄🌱🌿

Those look like they are fading but if you get to them right when they open, blow on them, you can get them to spore release. Sound up, you can hear it hiss! Rare to get ejection this way too! Just a great mushroom. Squirrels eat them.

Making a pot of turnip greens and one turnip that I purchased from the grocery store. I'd like to be able to grow my own turnip greens next year. I had an unexpected event today. One of my black Silkie Bantams hatched out 2 chicks. Wrong time of year for chicks even though it is 74F here today.
