These people have been effective in stopping pandemics quite a few times in the last 30 years, and have only failed to stop it once when the department was gutted under the last trump administration.
We know where this is going, and it's going to be worse this time.

He is near the end of his legal leverage with the Supreme Court. Now the lower courts should start pulling his assets apart, but it could still take months or years.
