An Austrian NATO official sent a blunt warning to Washington: Touch Greenland & Europe seizes US bases.

Gunther Fehlinger says if the US annexes Greenland, every American base in Europe—from Germany to Italy to Romania—would be confiscated, ending decades of U.S. military power on the continent.

NEW: Court records obtained by @wired.com show that an FBI agent's testimony contradicted claims Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who killed Renee Nicole Good, made under oath in December; the testimony also raises questions about Ross following his training. This is by @hudsongiles.bsky.social and me:
FBI Agent’s Sworn Testimony Contradicts Claims ICE’s Jonathan Ross Made Under Oath
The testimony also calls into question whether Ross failed to follow his training during the incident in which he reportedly shot and killed Minnesota citizen Renee Good.

Breaking NYT:

The Pentagon used a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane in its first boat attack, according to officials briefed on the matter.

The laws of armed conflict forbid combatants from feigning civilian status.

That is a war crime called "perfidy."

It’s as much a problem of “can’t “ as “won’t.” If only Canada would fudging invest in Canada, in Canadians, to have capable infrastructure for these things.
THIS IS WHY WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS: WE DON’T WANT TO F*CKING PAY FOR THEM LIKE ADULTS.
"We don't have the infrastructure to be able to take up an investigation, to be able to levy fines or to ban social media companies," said Kaitlynn Mendes, a professor in inequality and gender at Western University "This is a huge problem."
Canada won't ban X. But experts say it has few other options
Elon Musk is applauding the federal government after Canada's minister of AI announced the country will not ban X or Musk's AI over the tech's snowballing "nudification" problem.

Do Canadian MPs actually connect with the public on X?

I looked at RTs and views for every tweet* sent by Liberal MPs yesterday

Out of 46 tweets, 21 Liberal MPs racked up a combined 475 retweets

34% had zero RTs. Only 17% got more than 10 RTs

3 tweets accounted for over half of all engagement

What they actually meant was, based on one’s postal code, 300,000 more people live near primary care. Not that they got it. Nor do they say if anyone lived near less primary care. #onpoli

The purpose of “both sides” wasn’t to show “both sides;” it was perspective. It was easier to “both sides” than “get another viewpoint that puts the issue into a different perspective, either expanding or countering. It should add value to any stats/numbers given. It isn’t always opposin-“ #cdnpoli

Asking the victim country to respect the law while asking the bully country to start respecting it? Applauding the bully while telling the victim they brought it on themselves? Conveniently means Canada kisses up to Trump & acts like everyone should behave?

This isn’t funny because there are severe consequences … but it is kinda funny because OF COURSE the newly installed President would say this. How could she not denounce the country that kidnapped her party’s leader, her country’s president? Venezuelans were expected to support this?
President Trump said on Saturday that Delcy Rodríguez was sworn in as Venezuela’s interim president and would act as a partner in letting the U.S. run the country. Less than two hours later, Rodríguez made clear she viewed the U.S. as an illegal invader that must be rejected.

So is the US taking out all dictators or just the ones with oil? Is Putin next? Or is the US looking for dictatorships that harm and oppress women? Or murder its own people?
Just clarifying what countries it will “interfere” not invade.

HOWEVER, I will always remember that Hilter’s first attempt to take over an area was successful because other countries didn’t want war, but Hilter was emboldened by this.
