May they be preserved
The children who know no peace
In their time of grief

The rage it must build
Watching your loved ones be killed
No respite from hell

Dying on all sides
There is nowhere left to hide
Dogs ravage the dead

You are not alone
From the river to the sea
Palestine is free

Bibles before 1948 refer to the Holy Land as Palestine. Jesus was a Palestinian, and in the Bible, he says, `I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' These are Jesus's ancestors we're talking about. Zionism is racism couched in theology.
The fools still don't understand that ignoring Palestine and the Gaza genocide is exactly how they ended up with Trump.

Americans will never defeat fascism if they don't first confront the very thing that paved the way for it: disregard for basic human rights.

We also continue to fight back against a mainstream media narrative intent on conflating anti-Zionism and antisemitism, and ensure that both war crimes and repression are not being enacted in our names as Jews.

HANDS OFF PALESTINE!

Thousands of people have travelled to Washington D.C. today to demand an end to US-Israeli genocide.

Here's why:

Jesus was a Palestinian.
Jesus was a Palestinian.
Jesus was a Palestinian.
Jesus was a Palestinian.
Jesus was a Palestinian.

But please tell me again how Palestinians are inherently evil and deserve to be eradicated.

Corey Booker voted this afternoon to keep sending bombs to Israel, which is much, much more meaningful and important than a speech about values, even if it did last 25 hours.

"No one is illegal on stolen land."
“In 2012, in Arizona v United States, the highest court in the land ruled that “as a general rule, it is not a crime for a removable alien to remain in the United States”.

Got that? Not. A. Crime.”

From my new Guardian op-ed:
There is no such thing as an ‘illegal immigrant’ | Mehdi Hasan
It is a factually inaccurate and totally, utterly wrong to say that undocumented people are ‘illegal’ and are ‘criminals’

I have huge issues w/ Cory Booker, specifically the $ he takes from AIPAC and his support for Israel as it commits genocide. That said, what he did is an important lesson for Dems--there's such a vacuum in leadership and fight against this admin. There's a thirst for someone to step the fuck up

Genocide should be the rallying cry for justice in the U.S. Authoritarianism is always at its base about eugenics. Everything else would fall into place.

The U.S. government has toppled countless governments in countries around the world since WWII in an effort to destabilize these regions and reign supreme. Is it any wonder that Putin has done what he's done to facilitate Trump's coup? Regardless, I wholeheartedly support Zelensky. He's impenetrable

Taking food and medicine out of the mouths of sick, hungry people, especially the young, old, and vulnerable, to line a billionaire's pocket is one of the fastest and most direct routes into the seventh level of hell.
Republicans voted to take away your healthcare and food assistance so they can give tax breaks to the billionaires who poured millions of dollars into their election campaigns.

They don’t care about you because they’re paid to answer to them.

It’s not complicated.

There's a line at the end of "On the Eve of War" by Wu-Tang that reads, "stand knee deep in the blood of their children." I think of this line at lot when I think of these monsters. They don't care, which is a comforting reminder to reiterate the depth of their irrevocable damnation.

I will definitely circumvent buying from Amazon. It feels like the least I can do and the best thing, too.
I did that with my last purchase.
Amazon sent a "you might like this" email.
I looked up the specs and found the company sells direct at a far lower price and I saved about $50, $147 instead of about $200.
Still had free shipping but it took about a week.
Fast shipping = air shipping = pollution.
Fuck Bezos. Here is a good way to fuck with that little bald midget’s bottom line.

Also, Republican lawmakers knew Reagan International's airspace was congested. There have been 20-something near misses in the past few years, but they voted to deregulate the number of flights anyway. Kansas lawmakers got the flight path from Witchita to D.C. added recently.

After a week of thinking, "Of course he did that, the vile POS," this was one of the best things I read. The other two things that rallied my spirits were 1) Mexico refusing the U.S. deportation flights to Guatemala and 2) Mariann Budde's speech. There is always hope.

ICE raids imply going house to house in the dark of night, but this rarely happens as it requires more resources than deporting people from jails and prisons. My "hope" is that Republicans don't like putting money into programs, so the reach will be smaller than they want us to believe.
Yes. ICE arrests most people they deport thru local jails & prisons. They arrest many fewer through *targeted* arrests out in the community. It takes a lot more resources to do community arrests. EVEN if they have an address. (But they may fingerprint & arrest people near the targeted person.)
4/ "Raids" imply squads going house-to-house at random through immigrant neighborhoods.

But this is NOT A THING THAT HAPPENS.

Let me just say that again:

ICE does not do random sweeps of homes in immigrant neighborhoods (or anywhere else). People really need to know this.
