Hasn’t been much fun to be a White Sox fan for uh….15+ years now. Two of the things I think back on are learning they signed Robert and then just sharing videos of his monster home runs with people. They ran him into the ground and made it miserable and traded him for a utility infielder.

Look, I got frustrated about Robert always being hurt too but that man did more in 80-90 games a year than whatever grindy slapdick create-a-player Getz threw on the field.

Also, Grindy Slapdick is a great Getzian baseball name.

Guess what team has the lowest MLB payroll?

Ah yes, the White Sox in that small market city known as Chicago.

The salary cap isn't the problem, folks.

My reaction every year with the baseball Hall of Fame voting.

I'm just gonna say it: Most of these dudes don't know their ass from a hole in the ground and don't know shit about baseball beyond what their pals say in the press box. It's a fucking popularity contest.

I swear, folks are doing everything but punishing the billionaires who have no problem pocketing your money and rolling out an intentionally mediocre team year after year.
BREAKING: It's “a 100 percent certainty” that MLB owners will push for a salary cap after Kyle Tucker’s free agency agreement with the Los Angeles Dodgers, a source tells @evandrellich.bsky.social.

How can someone be so uniformly awful at every single aspect of their job and remain employed.

He has miles to go to even achieve mediocrity.

It’s so frustrating the grace and opportunities men like Bob are given.
Ballot #243 is from Bob Nightengale. He again votes for his three holdovers - Carlos Beltrán, Andruw Jones, and Omar Vizquel - with no adds, drops, or first-timers selected.

Today on @SoxMachine.com:

@jrfegan.soxmachine.com caught up with Chicago White Sox Director of Hitting, Ryan Fuller, to learn about what he thinks of the new hitters entering camp: Munetaka Murakami, Jarred Kelenic, and Everson Pereira.

Story: soxmachine.com/2026/01/hitt...
Hitting director Ryan Fuller talks new additions to White Sox offense - Sox Machine
There are a lot of commonalties in the additions the White Sox have made to their offense this winter, but one springs to mind. From Munetaka Murakami dominating NPB pitching in Japan, to Tanner…

It's cool that Beltran's going into the HOF -- don't put in the paper i'm mad about it. The argument (I'm assuming) is he had a HOF career before he cheated. Fine, cool. Wish they'd look at Arod, Manny, and others the same way. Weren't they HOFers before their suspensions?
