Sunday roast chicken leftovers round 1 was a risotto using stock made from the carcass and some of the roast chicken meat plus bacon and leeks. Looks basic but was so nicely balanced and there was a hint of flavours from the herby spices on the skin.

Does anyone know of any product in UK that is similar to this "Fruits au lait soda" from 7-11 in Japan? It's basically a sweet fruity yoghurt but fizzy. Like calpis soda.

I love deep fried tofu puffs in Thai curry. Their texture means I have something to chew, which I need if I'm not having meat. Though usually we do it with chicken.

The pub our friends had booked had the rugby on so we switched and went to K&K kitchen instead. Between us, you Thai curries, a burger and chips, and sausage egg and chips. Very nice!

Amazing dinner of half a very tasty Japanese wagyu steak each with cauliflower cheese, and green beans. Washed down with sparkling rhubarb mead (for me, red wine for Pete). Followed by sweet, delicious pink pomelo for dessert. My belly is so happy! 😁
