NEW: Video shared with me from a bystander in DC shows multiple masked federal agents (at least one of whom appears to have an ICE badge) violently attacking and handcuffing a delivery worker in the street outside Bluestone Lane cafe near Logan Circle this morning.

Please take care when watching.

My radio show in downtown Chicago ended at midnight. By the time I walked out of the building, it was closer to 1 am. The only thing that ever made me feel unsafe walking to my car were the bros who harassed me online; most of whom were MAGA
Trump: "If we need to, we're gonna do the same thing in Chicago, which is a disaster. We have a mayor there who is totally incompetent and we have an incompetent governor there ... hopefully LA is watching."

Despicable. Despicable to write it. Despicable to run it. Despicable to defend it. Denying the genocide in Gaza is enabling it, providing cover for war criminals…no matter the equivocations. But the argument that’s put forth—that if it were real genocide the death toll would be higher—is nauseating
This is from TODAY. Utter lunacy

Remember Biden's State of the Union speech when he rightly said the GOP was gunning to cut Medicare/Medicaid, which he promised to never sign, and the Republicans all boo'd and MTG called him a liar? So who was lying, again?

Every time a far-right MAGA commits a heinous crime, they like to "lone wolf" the guy. This documentary covers the radicalization of young men online, complete with manifestos and violent, deadly directives.

This Frontline documentary "Terrorgram" is worth your time.

Are Dems going to do anything about the fact that pro-Trump PACs continue to run ads pushing his tax cuts, school choice, etc?

what federal agents did to a father of three Marines while he was cutting grass in Orange County on Sunday has happened in some form daily — and deliberately — all over Los Angeles for 18 days.

We Better Pray That No Unexpected Crisis Hits While Trump Is President
It’s a world exploding with crises waiting to happen. Donald Trump has made us less prepared for every one of them.

I wrote about how the 2020 protests hurt Trump politically. I also wrote about how counternarratives about left-wing violence are just spin — and wildly at odds with the reality of extremist violence. Gift link: wapo.st/3SOEv6e

Two of the three states with the largest population of people in the U.S. illegally are the red states of Texas and Florida. Trump, notably, does not name their cities when calling on ICE to execute more aggressive immigration raids. He does, however, name LA, Chicago and New York.

I think there were more people at the protest I went to in Falls Church this morning 😂
It’s 6:04 p.m. in D.C., and we have parading. Crowd has filled in a bit at the route front, but mainly one deep along Constitution Avenue.

When Los Angeles actually *was* burning down six months ago, these people didn't give a damn about us. Now they're spreading fake AI videos showing LA burning
i've been trying to see what the right wing platforms (even outside of X) are showing people regarding the protests in LA and i am not sure it can be overstated just how much the AI slop is being used to reinforce the idea that downtown is a post-apocalyptic war zone

the word "constitution" does not appear in this article

nor does any indication that the Trump regime's actions might be illegal

it does however note "White House officials maintain that the president is ... standing up for 'law and order' as Democrats go soft on violent agitators."

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

I was a medic at the Santa Ana protests in OC today.

I watched police fire tear gas, flash bangs, & rubber bullets into crowds of men, women, & children.

Other medics and I were clearly marked with red crosses, and the police were targeting us.

One of the most fucked up things I’ve ever seen.
