Hi. I used to write books with someone I loved very much. I'm trying to write books again. And a social media account is still considered important when doing that.
I need you to repeat that closer to the mic. The mic, that prelude to the dropkick which and for which we must all figuratively -- and, those of us able, literally -- prepare.

I remember telling Jeff, regarding a plot hole that he wrote when he hadn't slept for three weeks, "I just think our readers will be more impressed by our heroes if they overcome an evil mastermind who /isn't/ an utter fool. "

I am not impressed with ... anything, anymore.

A friend of mine who is successful in his profession (he bought a nice house recently) unironically referred to himself as "a 1%er," and I was like, "sweetie, I'm pretty sure the 1% are all at least student-loans-paid-off-ionaires."
“60k income? You’re the global 1%” is the kind of message that you just know is winning hearts and minds

Echoing congrats to Joel et al, all the moreso with Joel being a roundabout relative, but I still say it ain't right that all the other regions have to share a roots-music Grammy with Louisiana. Our music industry is built different.
Big congratulations to Joel Savoy, Steve Berlin and John Leopold, for pulling off this amazing record, and a deserved Grammy win! I can't think of a better way to honor the King in what would've been his 100th year on Earth. Congrats to all the amazing artists that performed on the record!
"A Tribute To The King Of Zydeco (Various Artists)" wins for Best Regional Roots Music Album.

The category of 'performatice language' also includes. 'I now pronounce you married.'
Performative things matter.
We need to shut down the word "performative" until we can figure out what the hell is going on. Of course adopting symbols of protest and resistance is performative! Performance is a core strategy for mass movements!! That's why the call them demonstrations!!!
"In response to criticisms she's heard about the hat being 'performative,' Mashaal, the shop owner, said the thousands of dollars that have gone toward supporting their community speaks for itself."

Hey mutual aid people.

I need $400, today, and I'm asking you to trust me when I don't give any details.

I'm not asking folks who don't know what I do to do anything. But if you do and you can, now is one of those times. And it's timely.

There are rumors that ICE is dropping off people barefoot or even nude in the woods.

I just want to remind people that these tactics aren’t new or from 1940’s Europe.

Ask any indigenous people. It might be new to you, but they’ve been in this fight for centuries.
