I found this a significant bit of analysis of where Trump is and how he’s shifting the seat of his power from the people to the institutions he’s bent to his will.
Trump's declining popularity is real. But it's not clear he needs popularity.

Interesting that the BBC will call National Rally "Far Right" (in an article about Bardella meeting Farage) - when they would never use that term for Reform. Their policies are very similar. If anything Reform's are more authoritarian.

It is absolutely wild that the guy who won’t stop yelling about law and order is now personally stepping in to keep January 6 documents hidden from the police officers who were attacked that day. He knows exactly what’s in those files and he is terrified the country will see it.
