Thank you for this 🙏
35 years ago today, 14 women went to bed thinking about their finals, future in STEM and the upcoming holiday season. They didn’t know that these dreams threatened a man’s sense of self worth and that they wouldn’t survive to see their goals and aspirations become a reality

So true. One tiny example. I once spent two happy days visiting small Kansas towns just to look at their New Deal-era post office murals. They're very cool. www.kcur.org/talk-show/20...

This still brings tears to my eyes. But the relief he must have felt when he knew he managed to save the people on the train.
A single warning can change everything. Before the atomic bomb, the Halifax Explosion was the largest human-made blast in history. This Heritage Minute tells the story of Vince Coleman, a railway dispatcher whose final telegraph message in 1917 saved hundreds of lives.

Just finished reading this and…what an amazing book. I very much appreciated perspectives on a country that so little is talked about. Like the ethnic diversity, how the country can be repressed and the spirit of the people within it.

A really good thread to read
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

We are nearing Remembrance Day here in Canada. This really angers me. Share this desecration wide and far everyone.

I get that daylight savings time screws a lot of things up….but I think this is the first time I’ve had a coyote follow my dog and I on our walk.

My brat is not happy I cut the walk short…but at the point I had to yell at the coyote to get him to change directions…it just wasn’t feasible to cont.

It’s made from food additives, releases nutrients like plant vitamins, and doesn’t leave microplastics.
