Muscles sustain damage to grow, they then build and repair over time so they can increase in size and strength. Being “damaged” doesn’t mean your worth decreases- it just means you’re coming out bigger and stronger in the long run. But you have to take the rest days to heal too.

Not every game is going to be great and with a limited number of games coming our way as kids, we learned to look for the good and managed to find enjoyment despite the flaws. It’s a shame that perspective seems to be lost in the modern day.

People just don't understand how much game dev is a forest. It takes years to grow and can get burnt down instantly.

Yes, some indies will rise from the ashes, but the forest isn't coming back for a long time, even in good economic conditions.
