I didn’t know this?! What in the world? Why?! It’s hard enough for some faculty to stay appropriate in the actual department. Yikes and no.
If you are not in academia, you might not know this, but job interviews used to be held at conferences IN HOTEL ROOMS. Women candidates in a hotel room alone with often all-male committees. People sitting on beds! The horror stories I've heard.
I thing I sometimes thing about is that university departments were still doing job interviews in hotel rooms in the mid aughts

I’m sure DoorDash has okay data. It’s a big enough company to have good data scientists. But has anyone told Trump he could use the nonpartisan agencies and staff meant to give him reliable data? 😬🙃

Guys, I don’t care if you are in the Pete Buttigieg fan club. He’s not going to be president without significant support from people of color, especially Black people, and being Republican light isn’t going to cut it. Argue with someone that knows less about the subject.

I‘ll find the citations later, but part of the issue with the concept that identity doesn’t matter in politics, is white folk’s tendency to see themselves and experiences as the default for American life.

It really is hard to tell though because these are his instincts anyway. He’s just a terrible person.
…not a distraction per se if he does something he was gonna do anyway and that thing is abominable policy and also the main entree always on the menu, but ok fine you all win, at this point if he bombs Venezuela and invades NYC to deport the mayor elect, fine, he’s maybe wagging dog lol

The one thing I've learned about the unwritten rule of academia is that they're bullshit and just an arbitrary way to get people out when they don't like that person. It's true! It's all hindsight rationalization.
