Precedents like this render him immune from future gov’t shutdowns. He doesn’t need the legislature’s funds if he can create massive slush funds for himself by looting foreign nations and extorting US companies. He’s achieving escape velocity from our system & Congress is just watching.

To be clear, this is my neighborhood, and it was an attack and insurrection. It was a violent attempt to overthrow the United States government. People too commonly associate "overthrowing the government" with the presidency, but rendering the legislative branch inoperative is every bit the same.

Absolutely no way to read this and not conclude that the Department of Justice has been deeply corrupted. And this is from a time when career lawyers were in place, pushing back against illegality. With firings and resignations, the politicization will just get worse.

The military doesn't "traditionally rely on public funds appropriated by Congress", it *Constitutionally* relies on public funds appropriated by Congress. There are good reasons we don't want private citizens funding the military, even if it's just drops in the bucket www.cnn.com/2025/10/24/p...

Hero’s of the day - In a small town of Beckley, WV, Kendra Sullivan staged a one-woman No Kings protest. She was confronted, had the police called on her, but stood her ground. She was physically threatened. Police came more than once and protected her right to protest. This is how we do it.

I recently saw an amazing Navajo rug at the National Gallery of Art. It looks abstract at first, but it is a detailed representation of the Intel Pentium processor. Called "Replica of a Chip", it was created in 1994 by Marilou Schultz, a Navajo/Diné weaver and math teacher. 1/n
