Have never heard a GOP president say, “I wake up every morning thinking of how I can make life better for the American people.”

But have heard more than one Democratic president say it, and do it.

Never-Trumpers’ hankering for a return to “traditional conservative values” is magical thinking.

His entire life is about burying the evidence of his serial lawbreaking and genuinely low IQ.
NEW: Trump just argued that Jack Smith's final report — chronicling the criminal case against him for hoarding classified documents at Mar-a-Lago — should never be made public.

Trump urged Aileen Cannon in a new court filing to permanently extend her order blocking DOJ from releasing the report.
Trump: Jack Smith classified documents report should remain secret
Trump’s request is a break from the Justice Department’s handling of all special counsel reports in recent decades.

Not a single “I love Jeebus!” House Republican will stand up for Omar, even the ones on their way out the door. That’s how we definitively know there is *no* new MTG. It’s a big con.
Trump called Rep. Ilhan Omar 'garbage' today and said that Somalis should 'go back to where they came from.'

So utterly, casually racist. Disgraceful.
Trump on Minnesota's Somali community: "They contribute nothing. I don't want them in our country, I'll be honest with you."

Leaning toward this outcome, too.
Election prediction:

Van Epps wins by high single digits, let's say 8%. Still an excellent showing for Ds given the partisan lean of the district but I think Behn's chance to actually win was a "sneak one past the goalie" ultra low turnout race and the GOP got enough attention to avoid that

Can’t get over we’re just a few days out from National Guard troops having been shot dead and critically wounded — because he cavalierly gave an illegal order which put them in harm’s way — and here he is sleeping like a baby, confident there will be no consequences whatsoever.

the Sam Bankman-Fried affair was the closest we got to seeing the shape of our ruling class. The man had nothing to offer. Couldn't code, didn't have any coherent ideas, could barely describe his own business in either simple or technical terms. But he was surrounded by old school finance people

What is Johnson always so busy with that he never sees, hears or reads anything? Exactly what is taking up his time.
RAJU: If defenseless survivors were killed, would that constitute a violation of the laws of war?

MIKE JOHNSON: I'm not going to prejudge any of that. I was pretty busy yesterday. I didn't follow a lot of the news.

Pete Hegseth was formerly in the military and bound to the same military law which prohibits following illegal orders. Now, with the reins handed to him by Trump, he’s on a rampage to commit atrocities as fast as he can. No wonder he washed out before. He is fundamentally UNFIT.

My friends, there is no ‘Department of War’ or ‘Secretary of War’ in America.

There is a Department of Defense and a Secretary of Defense.

Neither has the right to murder.

“Kill them all” is a confession to murder under American law.
