Ontario’s Bill 33 expands policing in schools and will erode democratic oversight
Ontario’s Bill 33 seems an attempt to centralize control of the education system while avoiding real issues like chronic underfunding and understaffed classrooms.

Recent moves by PM Carney show a huge shift of the LPC away from Trudeau era policies. They've hamstringed the CPC, but also created a massive gap to the left. It's a gift to the NDP, if they can find their identity & choose the best leader to represent that.

In today’s MOU the Province of Alberta makes clear commitments on climate action. Alberta promises to work toward net zero GHGs by 2050, strengthen their industrial carbon pricing system, advance carbon capture/utilization/storage, and cut methane emissions.

The “money” has moved on. Smith refuses to acknowledge that Alberta would be better off pivoting away from O&G in a gradual draw-down.

Agreed. Smith has to do the hard work of finding the private $ and it has moved on.

I still think the pipeline is a no go. I just wish Carney would have, if even possible, come up with a different appeasement approach with dealing with D. Smith, the optics aren't sitting well with many Canadians.

Is the MOU a sure thing for a pipeline or a smokescreen?

There are hurdles the AB govt must clear before environmental legislation is altered

It’s still much riskier than a TMX expansion

Time for congress to step up and remove him and if they don’t, the military should. We’re in a crisis right now and people will die.
