Social Security Workers Are Being Told to Hand Over Appointment Details to ICE
The recent request goes against decades of precedent, and puts noncitizens at further risk of immigration enforcement actions.

The U.S. added 403,000 fewer jobs last year than previously anticipated.

The new estimate is that the economy added just 181,000 jobs in all of 2025, as opposed to the 1.46 million jobs added in 2024.

My very most cringe, normie opinion is that the Obamas are extraordinary people -- the smartest, kindest, funniest, most self-aware & self-possessed human beings involved in US public life in this century.

They modeled decency -- called the country to decency -- and the country said No.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

Cato Institute just nuked the lie. Immigrants have cut U.S. deficits by $14.5 TRILLION since 1994, slashing the national debt by a third.

All that “immigrants are bleeding us dry” noise? Absolute bullshit.

It's no accident that in reiterating his calls to "nationalize" elections, the president focused on Detroit, Philadelphia and Atlanta. A core tactic of the president and others seeking to undermine elections has been to target cities with lots of voters of color.

We are now at 20 lawyers quitting over the “investigations” of the death of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. By contrast, Watergate’s Saturday Night Massacre was triggered by the resignations of two lawyers. The Trump Admin is compromised ; which is why Congress needs to conduct its own investigation.
Remember that the pretext for invading MN was fraud committed by Somalis (on a scale smaller than some of the fraud Trump has pardoned and/or committed).

Now, BECAUSE of the abuse arising out of the invasion has led ~14 AUSAs to quit, plus ~6 in Civil Rights.
